What do you want? Why are people so different? Why can't we see eye to eye?

What we desire is the cornerstone of our personality. Everyone has a different combination of desires. They want these things for no other reason than that they want them. Identify what you want and soon you will be able to tell what others want as well. This is will help you understand human differences. Most people do not want what you want. You cannot change that but you can understand those people and what moves them. 

I also like using this to generate complex fictional characters. Usually, people have 2-4 primary desires and those determine most of their decisions and personality. In my experience playing this game with people, I have noticed that just being good at something doesn't mean you actually desire that thing.
